Each ceramic piece undergoes a series of firings that allow the clay and glazes to vitrify, creating a non-porous surface. This means that all pieces are food safe, dishwasher safe, and microwave safe. Hand washing is recommended to ensure your piece is handled with care. In particular, items with handles need to be handled and cleaned carefully, as knocks on the sink or in the dishwasher could cause a hairline crack that will make them susceptible to breakage. Also ensure you do not expose your ceramic pieces to extreme changes in hot or cold that could cause thermal shock.
All pieces are checked before they are carefully packed for shipping. If your order arrives with a breakage, please send a photo of the damaged item and the outer box to email@example.com and you will be issued a full refund for the purchase and shipping costs.
We do not accept returns for change of mind or for items that incur a crack or breakage after they have been unwrapped and used. Sale items are not eligible for returns.
Every effort goes into capturing the most accurate photograph of each item in the online store but please be aware that colours and details may look slightly different in person.
An item I want is sold out, can I pre-order?
Please email Simone at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have your eye on a ceramic piece that is sold out, to find out if more are on the way or if a custom order can be arranged.
Shipping and Handling
Your parcels will be sent via Australia Post. The cost of shipping will vary according to the weight of items in your cart. You will receive a tracking number and email confirmation for all deliveries.
Why don’t you offer a flat-rate or free shipping?
As a small business, it is not viable to absorb the costs of shipping, particularly when the weight of orders can creep up compared to apparel or other forms of art. Please keep an eye out for special offers throughout the year that may include free shipping.
Do you offer International Shipping?
At this stage shipping is only within Australia.
Do you offer Contactless Pickup?
Yes! Contactless Pickup is available from Simone’s studio in Doncaster East, Melbourne. Please check the current lockdown travel restrictions before selecting this as a shipping option, and then get in touch to arrange a pickup time.
What Packing Materials do you use?
Simone collects and reuses good quality boxes from other deliveries as much as possible. Please note that we do not necessarily endorse the companies from which these boxes have originated, and they are always checked for structural integrity before use. Other materials that are re-used include bubble wrap and other plastic, but these are never purchased new and they can be recycled at soft plastic drop off locations at major supermarkets. When buying new, we choose sustainable packing materials where possible.
