‘persephone’ vase

The Persephone vase is approximately 16cm tall with a 2cm opening and perfect for a few stems of your favourite fresh or dried blooms. Having been fired to a high stoneware temperature, this vase is water-tight.

This is a one-of-a-kind vase with a big personality. It has been likened to a pomegranate and so I have named her Persephone after the Greek Myth. It is a story that was used to explain the seasons but is also a dynamic story of unexpected romantic love, fierce maternal love, and the idea of finding your purpose and fullness after adversity. The pomegranate seeds that Persephone eats in the story symbolise to me a woman’s right to make empowered choices that may not necessarily follow what people would expect of her.

You will receive this exact piece, however, colours and textures may appear slightly different in person compared to online.
